River Moy

Great Salmon Fishing

Flowing through Ireland's legendary fishing town of Foxford, Co. Mayo, and interacting with Lough Cullin and Lough Conn, The Moy is one of Ireland's largest salmon rivers popular with anglers worldwide, and probably the most prolific salmon fishing rivers in the country. There are currently ten fisheries on the river which allow fishing. Size of fly ranges from large size 6 and 8 trebles in high water to size 14 trebles and small tubes in low water/summer conditions.

Salmon and Seatrout

Some of the Moy river larger tributaries provide excellent spring salmon and grilse fishing with both fly and bait and Sea trout are also abundant in the Moy river and it's tributaries. The Moy river estuary has large stocks of sea trout, some of which we have been told can exceed four pounds (2kg) , and which can be caught on these sea trout flies
